Scientific Program

During this 2-day training, participants will learn how to create a network of Breast Cancer women survivors willing to work on behalf of, and provide support to, newly-diagnosed breast cancer patients. The training is a follow on to the launch of Kuwait’s first Breast Cancer Patient Support Group that took place in February 2009. It will be given by The Susan G. Komen for the Cure trainers who will work with women volunteers to help them develop messaging and tools that would appeal to the women who are newly-diagnosed to provide them with comfort and support. Participants will also learn how to effectively engage private and public constituents to promote breast health awareness.
